Tenterfield Terrier


The Tenterfield Terrier is a breed with an average-size head with a definite stop. The breed’s ears are set above the eyes and triangular in shape. Its neck is elongated and transitions to a level back. It is a small breed that is well built. It has a broad chest. It has dark facial features. The breed has a coat that is straight and that lies close to its body. The tail is docked.


The Tenterfield Terrier has a typical Terrier temperament. It is energetic, courageous, and spunky. Despite its size, the breed makes a great watch dog and guard dog. It barks to alert its family of visitors and may attack an intruder that threatens its family or their home. This breed is very devoted to its family. It enjoys spending time with them. It is trainable, but has a tendency to do its own thing. This breed is a lap dog and is suitable for school-aged children. Some types may not do well with other dogs that live in its household.
